Moisture is the cause of mold. Mold spores exist in every cubic foot of air on the planet. Mold digests almost any thing that is organic. Even in the strict confines of clean rooms for surgical procedures and sterile environments, mold is present. All mold needs is moisture. It cannot grow without adequate moisture.
